Multimedia Perspectives modernises EITB's TV monitoring infrastructure

Multimedia Perspectives has developed a new TV signal monitoring infrastructure for EITB's headquarters in Bilbao. The project, carried out in 2025, responds to the need to upgrade the system for an evolving audiovisual environment, while maintaining existing operations and compatibility with traditional signals.

The solution is based on a hybrid headend able to receive and process DTT, satellite, cable and SDI signals in HD/UHD and distribute them in RF over the existing coaxial network. The infrastructure also includes native capability for IP integration and distribution, allowing a gradual future evolution towards IPTV or OTT streams.

The system has a centralised web interface for operation, configuration and monitoring, as well as a modular, hot-swap and redundancy-ready architecture. This way, EITB keeps its current infrastructure while gaining the ability to evolve towards new audiovisual distribution models.
