Multimedia Perspectives develops a hybrid audiovisual infrastructure for a 116-metre private superyacht
Mediterranean
In collaboration with Fagor Greece, Multimedia Perspectives has developed the audiovisual infrastructure of a 116-metre private superyacht, designed to accommodate more than 70 guests plus crew and also intended to host corporate events. The project involved digitising and upgrading the vessel's TV distribution system.
The new infrastructure had to include high-definition content and remain compatible with DTT, satellite and local signals, while preparing the system for its future evolution towards IP technology. To achieve this, four FLOW headends were installed working together, able to receive and process HD/UHD signals and distribute them in RF over the existing coaxial network.
The architecture includes native capability for IP integration and distribution, enabling a gradual transition to IPTV, as well as a centralised web interface for operation, configuration and monitoring. Its modular, hot-swap and redundancy-ready design combines continuity of the current service with the future evolution of the infrastructure.
